Replaced the 20amp fuse and it started right up. next day, ran for a while, turned it off, and it would not turnover. fuse is good. lights and service meter come on when key is turned. manual PTO clutch is disengaged and emergency brake is on. Hear a faint click when key is turned on and then off, but other than that, there is no sound. Could it be the solenoid? Any ideas ?

Might be a long shot but I'd check the ignition switch. I've had a couple of Craftsman lawn tractors that I had to keep wiggling the key in the ignition until it caught. You also might want to check the switch under the seat. Good luck and hopefully a more knowlegable member will have some better ideas.

Did you ever find out what the problem was with your mower? I have a JD D100 that is less than six months old and is doing the exact same thing.

Switches down by the brake pedal go bad, or out of adjustment.
