Different conditions require different blades.. I had a John Deere tractor with a cut and throw system and I needed high lift blades around my house with the grass which is quite thick on a clay soil. But when I would go to our cabin 70 miles away where things are dry and Sandy and very light grass I could bag with low lift blades and when I was done I still look like a dust ball from all the crap that flew around the tractor. I have actually seen people eat a hole in their deck by using high lift blades in sandy soil so always use the minimum amount of lift it takes to get the job done!
