Troy built super bronco keeps blowing fuse

I just got this mower and it is blowing fuses.

The switch is ok.
I think the wire from the soenoid is shorting.
A separate wire was run between the solenloid spade to the battery contact in the switch plug and the motor cranks.
Connecting to the solenoid plug contact does nothing.
What should I do next?
