New Member here with a ZTR Grasshopper 223 MidMount 60" mower on a homestead of 4 acres where I carefully cultivate 2 mowable-acres of the finest weeds, dandelions, field grass, crabgrass, wheat and chaff! Seriously, the "out in the county" neighborhood has homes all on a minimum of 3 acres, rolling hills, some mildly steep slopes and a few dry ponds that fill quickly when it rains. Mowing is challenge because the ground is rocky (but fully grass covered) and every spring we spend 2 full days picking up rocks the size of baseballs that have risen to the top so we don't replace our blades every month!

The builder/developer merely built homes in the middle of the fields. No sod. No seed. No kidding.

Our mower was in the shop for maintenance for 3 weeks and the 'grass' (actually wheat stalks) grew to 22" high and after a two-pass mow, the Grasshopper worked perfect!

Looking forward to jumping into the Ghopper forum and being a big contributor!
