most of this is an easy fix, flat tire and trans grease .... but what are the usual suspects for a battery drain?
i know its just an average stamped out lightweight with a big engine but i like it (compared to my 1967 sears 10hp)
was bought new in 2010 and has been a very dependable machine and it has MANY hours lol but well maintained (oil changes, tuneups and cleaning the peanutbutter out of the transaxle because they dont seal and putting in new grease
had the star on a spindle fail (hit a rock with the mower) but a bit of welding and grinding fixed that (rebuilt the star with the old wire welder)

when the battery isnt dead its a great machine ... but weekly charging with a new battery sucks

Because it's new doesn't make it a good one. Have it tested check for loose ground. Fuse if it has one if not check to see if it is charging if not might be the regulator or stator or both have them checked.
