I have a Husquevarna 22" mower with the GCV160

Model:GCV160LAOS3B NH1
GJARA: 6593254

The warranty runs through this month. I have used this only for trim where the tractor can't get, so light use. Always fresh gas. Starts right up, runs two minutes shuts down. I have read the Auto-choke FAQ and the unit operates properly as described in the FAQ. New plug, air filter. I have drained the gas removed the gas line, pulled that 2-3" micro gas filter and cut in a standard in line filter. Carb has been out, all orifices removed/cleaned with carb cleaner and carefully reamed out with my orifice drill kit and blown out with air. I can take it in for repair but I've kinda driven my fangs through floor and want to get this done myself...but don't know what else to do. Much obliged for any suggestions.

Hello,

Gas cap vent plugged? Try loosening/remove it to see if that's it.

Regards

That was a good suggestion. I hadn't thought of that and it makes sense, but alas, that is not it.

Got it! I pulled the carb again, total cleaning, re-assembled and it fired off and ran strong. I do not know what I missed, but it is done...for now, at least.
