I am thinking of selling my LTX 1050 Cub Cadet (May 2009) and buying a new one. I wish to sell the old one to help offset the cost of a new one. The question is, what is a fair price for my 9 year-old tractor? It has been lubed and maintained as per the standard schedual. The only downside is that the seat has a couple of cracks in the upolstry. It cost me $1899 plus tax in May of 2009.

It Varies. I looked and once that model mower got to about 2010 or 2011 all prices dropped between 750 and 900 bucks. 2014 1050's are running around $1,500.
I saw several '09's at 850 though, but most 09's stayed at around 700 or 650.
If it were me, and i knew how i took care of it, and maintained it at most i'd ask around 800 for it. :biggrin:
So, maybe this gives a few estimates to toss around or toss them out! :smile:

There is a very nice example of one of these being sold at a dealer for $750 here in SE Michigan. I sold my 2009 LTX 1050 last year with trailer, blade, tire chains and 48" poly roller for $1125. My machine had 250 hours on it and was in excellent condition, seat included. I think 650 to 700 will see your LTX gone in a weekend, but I'd be surprised if you got any more than that. The reality of it is that a brand new LT50 is only $1,900 and it's 9 years newer with a more reliable deck pulley system and better steering, not to mention a 3yr warranty. Most riders other than a Kubota or an X300 and up John Deere just don't hold their value very long.
