I have a Troy Built Pony lawn mower that will not move. 7 speed, 2006 model, 13AN77TG766.
I am wondering if the transmission is ok or not? I will change the belts if am sure transmission is ok. It was mowing and just quit moving. Unit moves with tran in neutral. Will not if in gear F or R. Pulley on top of transmission is tough to move. I have not removed the belts yet.

Take the top belt off and try turning the big pulley on the top.
If it turns OK then the tranny is fine.
I have put a socket on the pulley nut and used a battery drill to confirm the tranny is working.

Otherwise take the deck off and have a look at the belts.
'Good chance you will find one broken or jambed or a spring broken of missing.
Use the 13????????? number from the ID plate under the seat to find a parts break down for your mower , print it out then confirm all of the springs & pulleys are there.

You might also like to read the "Another Slipping Pony" thread a few days back.
You will find it in the TROY BILT forum ( same forum, just a different folder to keep them all together )
