I was at my Husqvarna dealer today for parts and they have their spring shipment in. The had the new W548 48 inch hyro. There's also a 52 incher. I'm a big fan of hydro walk-behind mowers and it looks like a really nice machine. Sturdy, big fuel tank, floating deck (not one lever adjust though), 7 mph top speed, looks easy to service. Standing behind it the machine seemed kind of long though.
The front casters seemed to be way out compared to my Exmark but maybe I'm imagining things.

I've never operated a walk-behind with ZTR-type steering levers, just pistol grips and the Exmark ECS system. Probably not the best on really dicey slopes since you can't really muscle the machine but I bet that riding behind a sulky with it would be sweet. But now there are a lot of standers on the market which seem to have taken over a lot of the hydro walk-behind market share. List price is $6,500. Their V548 stander is $2,000 more.

Here it is. https://www.husqvarna.com/us/products/commercial-walk-mowers/w548/967657701/

And here's their stander. https://www.husqvarna.com/us/products/stand-on-mowers/v548/967672501/

The stander does look nice. I liked the Bob-Cat stander a lot that my dealer had...still has I think...and considered purchasing it but I didn't want to pay that much for a machine that I couldn't really use for fall cleanups. I'd step up to the 52 incher for the stander though. A 48 walk-behind is nice because you can fit it in a pickup truck and being hydro you can back it up the ramps which is more safe. I used to run my Turf Tracer that way one day a week for beach accounts where there is nowhere to park a truck and trailer without blocking the road or a driveway.

Really liking this mower as a replacement for my 2002 Exmark Turf Tracer HP but can't justify it with the Exmark still going strong.
