Hello all new member here
I have a Yard Works 15.5hp. lawn tractor, that when I engage the mower ,the engine shuts off.
I dis connected the reverse safty switch 4years ago so this is not the problem. The blades and pulleys turn freely.
Any thoughts
Thanks.

there is a blade engagement switch....they often go bad because they're exposed to the wet grass

Also it might be a fluke but engaging the blades might cause a significant load on the engine all at once. Try this: engage the blades as soon as it starts to die engage the choke. Quickly closed and quickly opened ( to give the engine more fuel while the pto is engaging) if the engine stays running with the blades on, good! then quickly open the choke back up.
