Which Hydrostatic for New Garden Tractor?
Looking at a Husqvarna Garden Tractor. Choice of K66ELD or G730 hydrostatic drives. The Tuff-Torq costs $100 more. I plan to use this primarily for mowing, rolling the lawn 2-3 times per year (920lb roller), aerating, and hauling wood/dirt/mulch if needed. A dozer blade for snow may be possible as well. Yard is 1 acre, almost perfectly flat with some obstacles. It's hard to ignore the locking diff, to have when I may need it, but the serviceability of the Hydro-Gear with spin on filter makes me feel as if I can make it last longer through servicing. Let me know your thoughts. Oh yeah, models are TS 354X and TS 354XD. Both have 54" fab decks with a 24hp Kawasaki FR730V. Thank you.
