Spring is coming,I am trying to cut some huge tree stumps with my husqvarna 350 but fried the piston and cylinder which has a bad intake boot.
I think it wasn't worth rebuilding with the cost of factory parts, right ?
So I decided to risk $27.50 on it-buying online on Hexautoparts.com
Now I am waiting for the new aftermarket piston and cylinder kit.
Seems the installtion needs a bit of skill,do you have any High Quality youtube videos to recommend ?
Thank you for your time .

Well the web site says they have a real presence so that is a good start.
Google them and then do a street view to see if the address is real.

Now what re you rebuilding.
The Stihl or the Husky ?

I would be worried about that price.
I buy direct from the OEM factory at wholesale prices and I pay more for them than that in Au $ .
Both are relatively strait forward jobs
The barrel is undone from the top with a long # 27 torqx driver.
So the clutch & flywheel can stay in place.
They should be tensioned when done up so a long drive for an electric screwdriver, a tension wrench with a socket to fit the # 27 driver 1/4" hex or 5mm.
You will also need some high temp silicon.

The magic word is CLEAN
Ideally you would remove the fuel tank to get better access and allow for better cleaning.

The muffler & Carby have to come off and that is quick to say but can take hours to do.

Very important

Pinch a digital camera ( not your phone ) from the kids , or a Go-pro etc.
Mount it somewhere with a clear view of the saw and photo the saw before & after every part is removed.
Thus you have a step by step photo manual about how to put it back together.

And did I mention every thing has to be clean.
