Mower deck Spindle service

Have to replace the right side spindle on the Cub, and the new one i bought,un like the others has a grease fitting. How often should i grease the spindle? I read through the manual but couldn't find an answer. :smile:

Some will give one squirt every use if mowing for hours on end. Some will grease every 10 hours, 25 hours and so on. The dropping point of No. 2 grease is above 500 degrees f in most cases so the grease shouldn't be running out after one use. As long as you don't pressure wash your spindles and push the grease out ( which would also cause your other sealed bearings to fail ) then you should be able to go every few mowings in-between greasing. 1-3 pumps each time so long as you aren't seeing excessive grease pushing out which could move the seals.
