Hello ,

I have just bought a mower, that is the reason I ask so many questions

The mower is brand new.

Now I found that the cables to the starter are touching the motor. It does not make sense to me! I asked the seller and he tolds me that I can put the cables in front of the oil dipstick , and not behind. Please see the photos. You can see the 3 cables, red, white and black

It is a brand new tractor and the electric cable are touching the motor, any ideas?

thanks

Behind the dipstick tube and behind the starter is the normal location for that wiring harness. That is where Briggs factory puts them during assembly. they are insulated and will not cause any issues.

Cut that cable tie off and tie them to the dip stick tube.
I will assume that the wire in the conduit goes to the lights in which case it should be tied lower down to the bottom frame rail.
And as per previous post, if something like that cable tie pulling the wires down is not there they will be fine most mowers run the engine wires in a similar position.
