Hi,
While mowing the lawn there was a wire about the same diameter as a coat hanger under the leaves. Needless to say it was never seen and was hit. The mowers stopped instantly. I drove it out of the lawn and looked under it. The wire was loosely just dangling. I removed it. The PTO will not engage the blades, it turns on, but the blades do not move and it doesn't make the normal loud "mowing noise". I have tried searching online for answers as to the cause, without success. I want to be informed before taking it to the shop, unless, this is something simple to fix.

Any help would be appreciated!
Dan

Try turning the blades by hand.
If they do not turn freely there might be some more wire under there.
Also check the belt it can a usually does jump off one of the pulleys.
