Purge Plugs on Raptor SD do they have to be removed?

They are so hard to remove can the air be worked out of the transmission over time or some other way?

They are hard to get to. You can remove the 2 brake levers for easier access. Pop off an E clip and remove. They are on a master spline, they only go on one way. I didn't remove the plugs all the way, just loosened them up a ways and the new oil in the tank started going down.

This was for a fluid/filter change.

Thanks that's good info, I will try it when I change the transmission oil and filters.

I did not remove the plugs on mine at all. I instead pulled a bit of a vacuum on the reservoir, which burped air out from the hydros, then when the vacuum was released the hydros sucked all the fluid out of the reservoir. Repeat until full. Worked for me.
