I have a murray select widebody lt it's a green one I cannot figure out the model number to it because the tag is faded away and rusty I was wondering if I could get some help locating a number I can't figure out how to post pics.
Engine:28v707 1113-E1 0108010zd
Transmision:mst-206-502c serial:8310b0704
All I can find on modle tag is it begins with 13 and we ends in x8d

HP and deck size then the x8d should be your model number.

1342x8d looks like they rounded the first number.
I will look for it and let you know.

Ok, so I was wrong on the model number thing. Deck size is first then the rest is nothing we can decode. This is what I found seeing your engine is 1999. 42544x8D is the model number I could find. Check it out and see if it looks like yours.

I come up with 42571x8d on a 2001 model since the code on the engine is 010801

If you still have the tag, take some photos of it with a digital camera, I said a camera, not a phoney camera.
Take them at varying angles in good light, but not artifical light.
Then drop it into a photoshop type application and invert the colours then play with the contrast.
usually the numbers will jump right off the screen at you.
If you have access to some kids, grandkids, etc in the 12 to 21 age group, ask them to do it for you.
It is really easy of you are used to playing with this stuff.

Thanks for finding my mistake. Sometimes I work on too many things at once.

If you don't have half a dozen projects going at once what is the fun in it.
