I just replaced the self propel clutch cable on my HRR216, and for some reason it still has a lot of slack. As far as I know, it's routed correctly and I hooked in that little plastic retainer.
How can I fix this? As of right now, I can't use the self propel function because it's too lose to be able to pull the cable. And no, it does not have any adjustment nuts.

Did you compare the cable size with the old one?
Pictures would be very helpful.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow and post them.
I didn't compare them side by side, but judging by how much slack there is when it's installed, it's the same length. It's just not all frayed like the old one .

Pics, as promised. In the second picture, it's the cable going through the grommet on the left, and in the third picture it's the one on top.

What I circled in red should go through something like what I circled in green.

Got it clipped in on the bottom side of that bracket, it had another "channel" that the clutch cable slipped into. Works perfectly now! Thanks!
Now it seems my speed cable isn't doing anything. Time to figure that one out...
