I'm looking at getting more commercial units. I can't afford new ones right now but found some used ones. I'm just wondering what some of yall think about hour life and price on these. 2013 models Exmark and Toro Pro 6000 with around 1500 to 1800 hours. Prices are around $4950 to $5500. Any thoughts on these or another direction I may consider is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds high to me, on both. Exact models might help.

I'd ask if the engines have been rebuilt yet. If not, go ahead and figure an engine rebuild/replacement into your budget just in case it dies in a year or less. Engines can be anywhere from 900ish to 2000 depending on who does it and what it's got on it. Rebuild costs from 500-900 give or take depending on components replaced.

If it's a Kohler engine with that many hours I'd be especially concerned being that the connecting rods just seem to fail at some point. I am sure I am generalizing, but I have seen quite a few of em go.

If you can afford $5500 for a 2013. You should be able to buy a Tiger Cat Scag new for about $8500 with no interest. I have one of those with a Kawasaki on it with 1600 hours and have had very little trouble with it.
