The wife was mowing and my x475 just died, Thought it was out of gas but when i put the key in it i get nothing? So i put the battery charger on it and still nothing (no lights come on the dash). Can the battery go dead that fast?

Did you have the battery checked? Are the connections clean and tight? Did you check the safety switches?
I never had that happen to me, until last month. I had two batteries on two JD's go bad almost as if you had cut the cables or flipped a switch. Interestingly enough, the batteries were built in March and April of 2009.
