New mower. Ran good then died. Cleaned carb and now runs. Now when I get the mower at a slight nose up angle it starts sputtering and dies. Can push down on the handle and at about 3 inches front wheels off ground same thing. Can pick up the back and it runs fine.

Make sure the jets in the plastic carb are clean, and then replace the fuel with fuel you purchased today. The new engines are extremely picky when it comes to fuel quality. to the point of the first thing I do when I get a no start on the new briggs engines is dump the customer fuel. Haven't had one in the last year that didn't either have water in the carb/fuel, or immediately started after draining and replacing the fuel.

I've not encountered a beast such as that...
Only thing that comes to mind is the o-ring around one of the "towers" of the plastic main jet assembly
may have been misplaced or dislodged..........
