You could measure the old crank vs the new assembly and see if the distance from crank snout is the same.

Or you could do a dry fit of the old crank with washer and see how much endplay you have. Then do the same thing with the new assy, minus the thrust washer. That will tell you if the washer is needed or not.

UPDATE: well I installed the thrust washer, closed the case and everything seemed to spin fine. Honda bonded the case, Honda bonded the valve cover, put the engine back on the frame and installed everything back on the mower.

Added back new oil, gave the pull start a bunch of pulls without the spark plug boot on to sling the oil around on everything, put the spark plug boot back on ANDDDDD.......

1st pull, started right up, my baby runs brand new again ?????????!!!

Everything I read about bent crankshafts, EVERYONE said throw it away, its trash. Everyone I talked to in person said "throw it away, it's trash, buy a new one."

All I've got to say is..dam its feels good to be a man, with a brain, who can fix and repair whatever I set my mind to.

Thank you all in this forum who helped out with getting my mower back to life.

MY YARD LOOKS GOOOOOOOD NOW BOYYYYYY!!!!
