I have a Kohler command engine CV26 with speed advance module and coil module 24-584-36s

would like to know if someone can tell how to change to fix ignition to new. what # coil module i would go with

The CV26 is normally an EFI engine so check your model number to make sure it is correct. Also post the spec number off of the engine, since there is conflicting information about the modules and conversions kits available. One bulletin says to use this conversion kit, but another bulletin says to not use a conversion kit.
