So, when I was putting on a new head, I accidentally put the metal / steel circle on upside down and because of that, I am not able to tighten the new head nor take it off because the back side of the metal circle doesn't have something to catch on... I tried for hours to take the head off but it's just not possible. Any idea on how I can get it off?

Take off your gearbox (2 bolts). There will be a coupler to accept the trimmer driveshaft, and it should be square. If so, insert a Phillips screwdriver into it and hold on to the screwdriver to prevent the gearbox from turning.

If the coupler is not square, just pull the driveshaft out a few inches and use the end of it to hold the gearbox still. Make sure both ends of the driveshaft are seated properly when you reassemble the trimmer.

You can drill a small hole in the plate that is upside down then use the drill bit as the stop.
