The left side bypass lever on my new SDX keeps slipping out toward the bypass position. There is nothing to hold it in place in the running position although there is a notch in the lever to hold it in bypass. The right side lever stays in place.

I don't notice any performance issues but I'm concerned that I may be partially bypassing fluid and not getting the full transmission efficiency or worse causing damage by being in between run and bypass? Is bypass an on/off thing (if the lever isn't out far enough it is in run) or is it possible to be "in between"?

Thanks!

My 2014 Raptor SD60 has done this since brand new. The hydros are extremely loud and pulls to the left. Also, the fluid with 29 hours on it (total run time which includes key on without engine running) is black.

The dealer said to put a spring on it to hold into place. BS.
