Hi there:
First time poster...I own a couple of old Lawn Boys.
I had a solid state ignition model I was using and another I was given and needed to get running.
It is a Model 5124 made in Peterborough Ontario.
Finally got around to looking at it. No spark.
It has point ignition. I cleaned the flywheel and coil faces, set the air gap and cleaned the points as well.
Put it back together and it now had a good spark.
Also drained the tank and cleaned it with fresh gas and Sea Foam. I let some of that flow into the carb to work its magic for 30 minutes.
I primed it and pulled it and away it went for the first time in many years. Quite rewarding!
The reason I am posting is I need a cover for the air cleaner. The carb is all cream coloured plastic.
The cover fits into two slots on the bottom of the air cleaner housing and snaps into a third slot.
I have attached pictures.
Does anyone know where I can get a cover and the foam insert?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Oh, I think the engine is a D-400 but stand to be corrected.
Peter
