Super Z clutch issues

Hello everyone,

I have 2007 Super Z 66" mower with a 30 HP Kohler. About a year ago the center bolt that holds the clutch to the driveshaft somehow came loose. It destroyed a wiring harness. I got a new harness and tightened the bolt back down. It has been mowing fine ever since, however I started getting a nasty rattling noise from that area and decided to look further into it.

It looks like the clutch has been floating freely. I'm thinking that it should somehow be attached to the bracket shown in picture. Instead it looks like the main clutch housing is slamming against what's left of the bracket.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? I'm assuming there is a piece that fell out when the center bolt came loose? Can someone please direct me to a part number? Would this be a pretty easy DIY job?

The clutch has 2 notches that line up with the bracket. Does it matter which one I use? The wire will reach in either position no problem. It looks like one notch is wider than the other (probably from banging around). Would I be okay using the other notch?

Thank you very much,

Tony

I took another look at it. It looks like the clutch actually chewed a notch right through the bracket.

It is a loose fitting and yes it will wear a groove in the stop and some times the clutch. Replace the stop or run a bead of weld then grind it back to a close fit,
