Hello everyone. I hate to rush in here without a proper into but circumstances require it at this time. I'voe got a 2010 Exmark Quest w 48" deck. Has the Briggs and Stratton Intek on it. The Briggs Model 400000 22 hp 626cc v-twin w vertical shaft. Exmark mower model number QST22BE482. The engine it toast. Only 192 hours on it, maintained immaculately, serviced way before factory intervals. Mobil 1. I will not go back with another Briggs if I do not have to. Does anyone know what my engine choices are? Does Exmark use stock shaft sizes and lengths/ key ways or do they spec proprietary main shaft dimensions with Briggs to capture the engine replacement? Anyone know the shaft size lenth and kew way size? THANKS!

Looks like tomorrow's plans are off...didn't think I would be replacing an engine at 192 hours.

1 bolt pull the engine pulley off and measure it.
It has to come off in anycase.
Should be either 1" or 1.125"
Surplus center.
Small engine warehouse
Small engine surpliers
All do discontinued, over orders, factory pulled engine very cheap

What is wrong with the Briggs ?
