My Hustler boggs down when the air filter is installed. Runs great without air filter. The engine is a Honda GXV760. I cleaned the curburetor and installed a fuel pump. I put in a new air filter, same problem. Any ideas of what to look for?

clean the carb again take the emulsion tube right out and make sure all the tiny holes are totally clean.
Check the float height.
also check for air leaks between the carb & the engine.

I cleaned the carburetor twice without any luck and now i've installed a new carburetor and still have the same problem. It runs great without the air filter and as soon as install the air filter it sputters and dies. I must be doing some thing wrong. Any more ideas?
