I own a Husqvarna sit on mower tractor. I have a large'ish field that I mow with it. I don't need to collect the grass cuttings so I do not use the heavy box thingy at the back of the mower. I was using it today and suddenly this loud screeching alarm type noise started and even when I turned off the engine it would not stop. I had to disconnect the battery to get it to stop. Apparently the mower had decided that my grass box was full which is kinda odd as there was no grass box being used. What can I do to stop this happening again ?
There is a little red lever at the back where the grass box would go if I were using it. Perhaps if I jiggle that up and down that will stop the alarm ?
Later machines have a system for pushing the grass cuttings out at the side. With mine I have had to put a screw into a plastic lever that presses on a button that then fools the machine into thinking that the grassbox is in place. The grassbox is very heavy and is not a user friendly item that's for sure.
