I'm replacing a belt on my mower and have everything on, except the pulley in the middle of the deck won't lift up from the bracket when I unscrew it. So I can't get the belt around the guide for this pulley. Any ideas?

Clean up with a wire brush / steel wool etc.
A little PB Blaster / Kroil etc on the center then go have a few beers till tomorrow
A prybar under the pulley should now shift it
A bit of heat won't hurt
When it is off check it for free & smooth rotation.
A touch up with a wire brush and a spot of grease on the shaft for next time

Thank you! I tried everything, couldn't get it unstuck, so I bit the bullet and hauled it into John Deere. I appreciate you taking the time to help!
