I have a 2 year old DR Timmer/Mower that was running perfectly. Last week I used it for about 3 hours per day for 3 days.

On day 3 I shut it down for lunch and afterwards, the thing would not start. When the starter cord is pulled, sometimes there is a pop that sounds like it's coming from the exhaust side. It's got a new air filter and plug, and the carb is so clean I could eat out of it, with all jets and orifices clear. I checked the flywheel and the key way is not damaged. When I try to start it the spark plug is dry. I know that might indicate no gas is getting to the cylinder, but the fuel line from the tank to carb is clear, and there's no inline filter to block the flow of gas. Also, I don't feel the normal resistance at the primer bulb, to indicate fuel is being moved.

Does the "pop" indicate an electrical problem, even though the flywheel visually checks out?
