Electric pto clutch on my simplicity regent 1693915

With the tractor running and pto energized no noise (confirmed this with deck off).

With tractor running and pto not energized you can hear a light rubbing/grinding sound from clutch. I confirmed this noise with tractor off and trying to turn the clutch by hand. Other than the noise it works fine.

I took the clutch off and verified the gaps were set at about .020". I loosened the 3 adjuster nuts and the noise went away but my gaps were about .050". What im finding is the moveable brake houseing is rubbing on the rotating armature when the gaps are adjusted properly. Is this normal?

I cant figure out how to take this clutch apart to get a good look at whats going on.

That grinding noise could be the bearing in the pulley going bad, because it doesn't rotate when the pto is engaged, The brake disc will rub the housing when the clutch isn't engaged because that is how the brake works. It rubs the ring part just above the pulley to stop the blades.
