I am going over to a friends house to look at his Scag STHM that will not start. This happened after the new battery was installed and the cables were installed on the wrong post. He said he corrected the battery problem and replaced a blown fuse but it will just crank, not start and keeps blowing the fuse. I have the same tractor so if I need to take readings (voltage & ohms) on parts I will be able to, but wondered if anyone has had this happen before or have a good place to start. I am at a disadvantage because he had someone already look at it who thought they knew what they were doing and I guess it is somewhat torn down. Any help is appreciated.
