As I am mowing the blade disengages. Do I need to make the cable shorter or longer

Tell us more detail...you're mowing along and have pressed down the yellow button and moved the blade clutch lever, blades start to spin. What exactly happens next to 'disengage' the blades? Any odd sounds? To start mowing again, do you repeat the same process?
