I'm from central Kansas and own 80 acres, mow about 25 of it. I currently own a Gravley 260Z with the water cooled 26 HP Kawasaki engine and hydraulic deck and a Kubota 326 26HP diesel.

Yes it is. It used to be a labor of love, now it's just labor. Haha!

You're probably right! Sure does look nice after a fresh cut though, not sure cows pay much attention to details. With both mowers going at once, it's not too bad. My wife loves to mow, far be it from me to begrudge her of that!
