I have a 2009 Cub Cadet GT1554 riding mower.
I was mowing the grass today (flat land) when I felt a pop and the mower just quit moving forward or reverse.
I removed the seat cawling and see that 3 springs are still attached and when I press forward or reverse things move.
I am mechanically handicapped and don't know the names for all parts.

Any ideas what might have happened.

I suspect that you broke the drive belt. It is tucked up inside the frame. Will require removing the deck, electric clutch and the engine pulley to remove the belt. Everything else is easy to to after that.

I may be thinking the SLT1554 so yours maybe somewhat different.
