Just got the mower. The brakes and clutch are unbelievably sensitive. I may get whiplash before I get used to the controls. Is there any way to adjust to soften both the brakes and clutch engagement?

I simply cannot believe that none of the design engineers got on the final product and said "Hey guys - we have a problem here!"

Testing on actual human beings! What a concept !!

Now I'm off to Walgreens to get my neck brace.

May try loosening up the nut on the brake down on the transmission. Most likely what is happening is the clutch is engaging before the brakes totally release. Like holding the brake pedal on a vehicle, and pushing down the accelerator, and then releasing the brakes.

If the belt is too small you get the same symptoms
