Won't start!

I purchased a slightly used B&S 675ex that did not run (I knew this). I've begun tinkering with it to see if I could get it to start. So far, I have checked the spark plug, fuel and oil levels and they seem to be good. I checkled the carb and cleaned it. It had some gunk inside and the bowl seal needs replacing. Once everything was inspected and cleaned I tried to start her up and she ran for a few seconds before quitting on me. Now it won't start up at all. I have now noticed fuel leaking through the air intake/choke. Could this be the reason why it won't start anymore? If not I don't know what else to look for. Any help is appreciated!

We know for certain the leaking gas isn't correct so drop the carb bowl, remove the float and determine if it will actually float and do the job of maintaining the correct fuel level in the bowl.

Here's what I would do:

1. Take apart the carb again and install a rebuild kit and a new float.

2. Install a new air-filter-to-carb gasket during re-assembly.

3. Install a new spark plug.

You will need the following parts:

Rebuild kit (Walbro K11-LMR): http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-Wa...967755?hash=item46489d208b:g:AZQAAOSwJ7RYUH~G
Float (Walbro 75-570-1): http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALBRO-OEM-...ash=item41b8f8eada:m:mitMQjpy0Jjt171UugWDZVA\
Air filter gasket: http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Briggs-St...102346?hash=item2ef5f7058a:g:w2IAAOSwjDZYdtKM You may need several of these to get a good seal, that's why I posted a 5 pack

Spark plug (Champion J19LM): http://www.ebay.com/itm/WALBRO-OEM-...hash=item41b8f8eada:m:mitMQjpy0Jjt171UugWDZVA
