Honda GV100 valve timing

I've taken the camshaft out before realising there is no timing mark on the crank gear. There is a marked gap on the valve gear and I can only assume you set the piston to TDC and then put the mark toward the meshed tooth on the crank gear. Does anyone know or have access to the full service manual. The short manual doesn't cover this.

There is a mark but is very faint. I had this problem last year and it had to be cleaned thoroughly to see.

I see it. That is a tiny mark! It's not like it would cost Honda more to hit it a bit harder. It lined up with my guess that the piston should be at TDC so that might help someone if the mark wears off. Thanks for the help.
