Cub Cadet LT 1045 PTO switch removal

I'm trying to put a new PTO switch on a friend of mines Cub Cadet LT 1045. I'm having trouble getting the old switch out of the dash. On the back side of the dash it has a plate that holds pressure against the sides of the switch along with the plastic tabs that you push in to release it. Anybody know of a good way to get this PTO switch out of the dash without tearing things up? Thanks to anyone who might reply. Please Reply. I'm stumped on this one.
