Recently, I purchased a scag, with a liquid cooled 27 h.p. kaw. engine. I have had turf tigers in the past, all were air cooled Kohlers. I can't seem to get the temp gauge to register anything. Engine is full of coolant, new sender, gauge will peg to full right when leed is grounded. A temp gauge put into the radiator neck after the mower has been running w/ deck engaged for 10 minutes reads 150 to 160 and seems to cycle. I don't know alot about these engines, any help would be appreciated. This is a hobby/business I have loved for many years, just don't much about these engines.

Hi Mike,
Get the model number and serial number of your Scag, go to the Scag website, scroll down to manuals, find your machine and download the manuals. The wiring diagrams are at the rear of the parts manuals.

:welcome:

I'm going to move your thread over to our Scag section to see if we can figure this out.
