Colleagues,
I managed to get my pressure washer fully operational after the flood which is a blessing. Lots of water in the engine and in the pressure washer pump. I needed to change the pump oil a couple of times to get all the water out and I have the following question.
Does anyone know exactly what is in the pressure washer pump oil? Specifically, what is the weight of the oil? I used the OEM Cat Pump oil, which I thankfully found. The bottle does not list what weight the oil is or at least I could not figure out the secret codes, if there was one. On their website, they refer to it as hydraulic oil or crankcase oil.
I will probably continue using the OEM product but I'd like to know what else I could use in a pinch.
Thanks
