Hello, I just bought a new Snapper Pro S200XT with a 61 inch ICD deck. I've used it one time and it cuts great. My first addition will be a set of mulching blades. My problem is that Snapper doesn't list a part number for mulching blades. What i have per the parts manual is 5101755S for the stock blade part number. I believe that is 21 long, 2.5 wide, 5/8 center hole and .250 thick. I've found part numbers for OREGON blades that might work but many are 3 inches wide instead of 2.5 wide.

I'd like to know if the difference in width will cause any issues.

So the question is "Will using blades that are 3 inches wide cause any issues?

Thank in advance.

The wider blades are also heavier so will take a minute or two to get to speed and place a heavier load on the clutch and blade belt at start up.
The heavier blades will also have more momentum so will tend to maintain speed in thick grass.

IF these blades were listed as fitting your mower all is good.
If however you used a blades by length chart to find them they will be a touch shorter than you blades as the length is measured diagonally .
