I have a 2007 TroyBilt mower with a Self Propelled . It's transmission has a cracked transmission engagement lever. I am not sure if I buy a new transmission, it will include this lever. I like LawnBoy's idea better. The OEM number for the transmission is # 918-04492A. Does anyone know if there is a OEM number for just this plastic engagement lever ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I could find it if I knew what mower you have.

My TroyBilt mower is a 2007 Model # 12AG836E011 . This lever is plastic and it engages the transmission while pressure is on it. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, Glenn

Troy-Bilt 753-06060A
KIT-DRIVE CONTROL
Is this what you need?

No, Sorry, But this kit is the lever you squeeze at the handle to activate the self propel of the mower. The engagement lever I am looking for comes on transmission part # 918-4492A. The drive cable attaches to it and when you squeeze the lever, it pulls this plastic lever and engages the transmission and also tilts back the whole thing so the belt tensions. I hope this makes sense.

If you look at part # 753-05351 , you will see the lever I am looking for. Apparently is not available. But this is the transmission I need. I just wish there was a way I could put a Lawn Boy transmission in this mower instead of this one. With Lawn Boy, all you do is pivot back on the transmission , to engage the belt. With this idea, this lever engages the transmission when you squeeze the lever. With mine, the lever is cracked, so when you pull on the lever, the lever doesn't engage the transmission . I guess I will just have to replace this transmission.
