rear drive self propelled adjustments

hi. new here. just bought a rear drive self propelled model that I was told was a '94 white. apparently needs adjusting as operation of drive is somewhat sporadic. also doesn't seem to always release completely when I pull it back- have tried things like rolling it forward , etc. seems like an adjustment issue. is anyone familiar with these and /or what other make/model can I refer to for adjustments. who sold these? any help appreciated. mike

Any chance you could post a picture or two of the mower so people will know just what you are talking about? Any model numbers, engine identifiers and the like help in identifying the mower.
