gravely 5260 not starting

It has been sitting for some years now. Carb was full of jello gas, cleaned out now. Cranks strong but but nothing. New Plug nothing. not even with starter fluid lol. Coil has power but the + and the - shows pos power. Plug does not spark with the old screwdriver test.continuity is good on plug wire. Points show some spark during crank

Now i'm lost , any ideas what or how to test?

OK changed coil to a new auto looking one I found, hope nothing blows up. Motor starts now. Not great idle but gotta clean carb.
Any problems using a who knows what coil that actually sparks?
