Blades What do you guys sharpen your blades with?

Grinder with flap wheel. Less agressive than your standard grinder disc. I don't balance tho... Shame on me. Spindles still alive tho.

For those of you that prefer a right angle grinder, try the Makita flex wheel. It'll grind circles around the older original wheels. This blade pictured was sharpened while I was setting in the comfort of my chair with the blade extended across my knee. The other picture is a piece of re-bar that needed threads on a stretcher for an outdoor chair repair. Solution for precision sizing. Grind it down while rotating it with a variable speed drill. Once again, the Makita flex wheel.

If you're gonna do it you may as well be comfortable and have fun doing it. :laughing:

Yes a very good price seeing I just paid 140 dollars for my Dewalt angle grinder this pass summer from the local tool store.

What grit paper do you use?

Ide like to know as well. I'm hoping 40 grit will do the job. Because i just bought a 50 grit flap wheel yesterday

I used 60 grit today. Seemed to work fine.
