does anyone know the carb adjustments for the carb on a BV 165 blower/vac? it was running a little rough so I adjusted the screws all the way in and then 2 turns out, and now it wont start. what are the proper " turns" so it will start, so I can finish adjusting it? it seemed as though I had to turn them in a lot to " seat" them before I tried to turn them back out. it has " Mix" and " Idle " screws, not "H" and "L".. The "Mix" screw adjusts both the idle and high speed mixtures. Turn the "idle" screw in all the way and unscrew the "mix" screw 2-3 turns. Then try to start it. If it still won't start, try some starting fluid.

weird. after letting it set for a week, it started right up. I adjusted the idle and mix screws to where it runs good. the mix screw is about 1.1/2 turns out as where the idle is at least 10 screws out. so, could it have been flooded and or a bad line or something possibly?

When doing carb adjustments, I find it best to add new spark plugs, then after it is run for a while, pull plug(s) & look for the beginnings of a light tan brownish color.

Black would be TOO Rich. Which would waste gas & more importantly wash the oil off the cylinder wall(s). Causing premature wear.
