ZDDP additive

I'm nearing 8 hours on my Timecutter w/FR691V 23 hp. Picked up a Kawasaki oil filter and 3 qts of John Deere Tough Guard 10w30 for the 1st oil change and noticed Tough Guard had an API classification of 'SN". The Kawasaki specs call for SF, SG, SH, SJ, or SL API classification . IF I correctly understood an article about decreased level of ZDDP in "SN" oil, can one of the "ZDDP" additives be combined w/ the 'Deere oil? Sorry for bringing up a question that's probably been asked/discussed numerous times on this site.

I'll probably just return the Tough Guard ti Lowes and find an oil that meets Kawasaki specs. Thanks

if you have the engine manual that came with your mower stick to it to stay in warranty, including plugs, oil, fuel, & air filters
